Compilation of a Safety Data Sheet - Europe Country Version
European Union (EU)
Starting out from the basic version for Europe in English or German, we compile all country-specific safety data sheets for the European Economic Area (EEA). The European Economic Area includes countries such as Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. We supplement the basic version with the country-specific workplace exposure limits and specific national legislative requirements in section 15 of the SDS. The country-specific SDS are provided in the respective national languages. The distribution and subsequent distribution of country-specific versions in the local language is a legal requirement. As from the autumn of 2013, the yet to be adopted Chemical Penalties Regulation provides for penalties in the event of failure to comply with these legal requirements.
We are happy to support you with the compilation of country and language versions in line with the legal requirements and also arrange on your behalf the legally compliant distribution and subsequent distribution of the safety data sheets (KFT ChemDoc24)
With the 4th revision of the Swiss Chemicals regulation valid as from 01.12.2012, Switzerland has adopted the essential elements of Annex II of the REACH Regulation. There are minor differences in the exceptions and in some content.
Based on the CLP basic version of the EU safety data sheet, we compile the appropriate Swiss documents for you. We can provide the safety data sheets in all the Swiss official languages.
Many countries that have not yet joined the European Community have nevertheless already adopted many elements of the REACH Regulation or of Annex II of the REACH Regulation or accept safety data sheets in accordance with the REACH standard. We therefore compile the relevant language versions for the non-EU countries, based on the CLP Regulation. If country-specific requirements emerge, such as specific workplace limits, we consider this when creating the corresponding safety data sheet.
