The challenge of harmonisation
Many countries have now adopted GHS. The implementation was rolled out in different ways in the individual countries according to the "building block principle". Different versions of the UN GHS were also introduced in the individual countries. Updates to take on board the latest version (revisions) take place at different times in the different countries. That is why there is no GHS safety data sheet.
In countries that have adopted GHS, we compile the safety data sheets in accordance with country-specific implementation. We also take into account country-specific limits or country-specific classification lists. Therefore, while a UN GHS Safety Data Sheet may be the starting point for the first global compilation of safety data sheets, country-specific adjustments are necessary in each case. We track the corresponding implementation of the GHS worldwide and fall back on the national legal requirements in the compilation of safety data sheets. We also take into account national specificities in terms of language and layout. KFT compiles on your behalf worldwide legally compliant safety data sheets in line with country-specific requirements.
