Substance data search
Substance data - the basis for all further steps
Whether you want to import or market a product, you should know whether your product implies a risk or a danger to human health or the environment. The determination of the intrinsic substance properties is also the basis for the identification of hazards of products.
Whether you register or notify a product, a substance, a biocidal product or a cosmetic product, you need physico-chemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological data. You also need the relevant legal data such as a possible binding classification, workplace exposure limits, licensing restrictions or special labelling requirements.
You also need the data if you want to perform a classification or labelling. These data are also the basis for the creation of a legally compliant safety data sheet. Today, data on the use of the product and the conditions of use along the supply chain are needed to estimate the risk when handling the product and may thus be able to guarantee a safe use by establishing risk reduction measures.
For nearly 20 years, we have been involved in searches for substance data. To do so, we have access to commercial databases, but also use all the freely available sources. We have extensive experience in the evaluation of the data collected and only use data that are valid.
If necessary, we determine the data owner and negotiate the licensing of the data found. If data are missing, we can fill these gaps by commissioning certified laboratories with the necessary research. Here we cover the entire process chain: calls for tender, study design, study monitoring, review and final acceptance of the study report.
