South Korea Wants to Limit Animal Experimentation
South Korea has enacted a law that requires all cosmetics manufacturers to omit all animal experimentation when alternative methods are clearly available. South Korea is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of cosmetics. However, the law does not go as far as laws in Europe, Israel, and India. Accordingly, opponents of animal experimentation see passage of this law as an important signal for the entire Asian market.
