Tips for Downstream Users

The ECHA has issued new guidelines: “How to Prepare a Downstream User
Chemical Safety Report.” The authors provide valuable information on what must be considered in the creation of a safety report.

For example, such a chemical safety report is required if you, as a downstream user, have determined that the use and/or the terms of use of your substance as such or in a compound is not covered by the exposure scenario that you received from the manufacturer. You can explore the options you have in such a case and see what exceptions might apply in the Guidance for Downstream Users issued by the ECHA.
