Vanishing Foam: First a Red Card, Then A Green Light

The vanishing foam known as “9-15 fair play limit” was used for the first time on the eighth day of competition of the German Federal (Football) League. The foam overcame all the initial problems identified by German Technical Inspection Association (Technischer Überwachungs-Verein: TÜV) such as an overly high concentration of greenhouse gas, incorrect specification of the net fill quantity, and the lack of the flame symbol for highly flammable products. The German Football Association (Deutscher Fußball-Bund: DFB) finally gave a green light and ordered 5,000 cans of the foam from the Argentinean manufacturer, 915 fairplay.
