New CLP hazard classes:
Available in IUCLID from the end of April

As of April 29, ECHA will make the new CLP hazard classes available in the software application IUCLID (International Uniform ChemicaL Information Database). This was announced by the Chemicals Agency in a press release.

The new hazard classes are

  • Endocrine disruptors for human health or the environment (ED HH and ED ENV)
  • Persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic as well as very persistent and very bioaccumulative products (PBT and vPvB)
  • Persistent, mobile and toxic as well as very persistent and very mobile products (PMT and vPvM)

Companies can therefore start including the relevant information in their dossiers from April 29. In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/707, they are granted staggered transitional periods for the implementation of the classification and labeling requirements.

ECHA has announced that it will also update the manuals and the newly introduced chemical database ECHA CHEM with regard to the new input fields. The guidelines will also be updated in the course of the year.
