Product notification and product registration of chemical mixtures, biocides and more
Manufacturers, importers and downstream users must forward the formulation of their (hazardous) products to authorities and organizations. This enables the competent authorities to provide appropriate advice in the event of poisoning or accidental exposure.
In the EU, chemicals are notified in accordance with the CLP Regulation 1272/2008. This notification is submitted online to the ECHA using the so-called PCN procedure (Poison Centre Notification). The authorities then forward this information to the poison centers in the respective country so that they can react quickly in an emergency and life-saving measures can be initiated.
For detergents and cleaning agents (detergents) and cosmetics, there are additional legally binding regulations and national provisions in the EU which, for example, specify additional restrictions for ingredients.
If you also want to sell your products outside the European Union, you will have to deal with a large number of regulations. These include, for example, different test procedures that must be fulfilled before import.
