CLP Regulation: 23rd Adaptation to Technical and Scientific Progress (ATP) Published
EU Regulation 2025/1222 was published on June 20, 2025, updating Annex VI Part 3 of the CLP Regulation. A total of 19 entries were changed and 22 added to the list of harmonized classifications and labelling of hazardous substances.
What’s New
The entries for α-methylstyrene, 1,1-dichloroethylene and the pesticide folpet were among the changes. Examples of newly added substances include nitrous oxide, ozone, barium chromate, triphenyl phosphate, and dinotefuran, a biocidal active substance.
Applicable Deadlines
The regulation goes into force on July 10, 2025, but companies have been granted a transitional period to sell their stocks. The regulation will be mandatory as of February 1, 2027.
