Annex II of the REACH Regulation requires that the safety data sheet must be prepared by a competent person and that the competent person has received appropriate training and refresher courses. The expertise according to REACH corresponds to the expertise required in the Hazardous Substances Ordinance §18 Section 4. At the request of the competent authority, the competent person must provide evidence of their expertise.

Small exercises for creating plausibility checks during the training, detailed exercises and application examples are carried out on the additional training day offered
Manufacturers, importers, distributors, formulators, processors and other downstream users of chemical products who are responsible for creating, updating or reviewing safety data sheets. Employees of the aforementioned groups, auditors of SDSs in authorities and other state institutions, safety experts, teaching and training staff, those responsible for hazardous substance management and tradespeople. The training is primarily aimed at people with initial knowledge of classification and labeling.
Employees without prior knowledge who have to create or check safety data sheets on their own responsibility will be able to carry out these tasks after the training. With a small number of participants (max. 10) and exercises, the training content is taught in a well-founded manner. The instructors have been working in this field for several years. This guarantees practical implementation of the legal requirements. At the end of the training course, participants receive a corresponding certificate for submission to the inspection authorities.
