Turkey-REACH (KKDIK): Ministry Announces New Deadlines

On August 12, the Turkish Ministry of Environment published principles and procedures for implementing the KKDIK Regulation and revised the related deadlines at the same time. The cut-off dates are tight and put pressure on the companies concerned.

Deadlines for pre-registration

October 31, 2025: For substances that were placed on the Turkish market by this date.
For substances that are placed on the Turkish market for the first time after October 31, pre-registration must be submitted within 30 days.

Deadlines for lead registrants

December 31, 2025: A lead registrant for existing substances must be designated. Otherwise, the authority will appoint a lead registrant from 2026 onwards.
For substances placed on the market for the first time after the publication of the procedures and principles, the lead registrant must be designated within six months.

Deadlines for transitional registration

March 31, 2026: Deadline for temporary registrations for lead registrants. If registrants have not yet compiled all the data, they can apply for a temporary registration with significantly reduced data requirements. This must be converted to a full registration at a later date.
September 30, 2026: Deadline for temporary registration of member companies.

Safety data sheets (SDS)

The local supplier must upload SDSs created in accordance with Annex 2 of the KKDIK Regulation to the Ministry’s SDS software program.
