EU Commission Adds 39 Chemicals to Annex VI of the CLP Regulation and Publishes the 18th ATP

On May 3, the EU Commission published Delegated Regulation 2022/69 in EU Official Journal, thereby updating Annex VI of the CLP Regulation (1272/2008). This eighteenth Adaptation to Technical Progress (ATP) takes effect on November 23, 2023. A total of 39 entries were added, 17 were revised, and one was deleted.

The new substances in the Annex include:

  • Cyfluthrin
  • Acetamiprid
  • 2-ethylhexanoic acid and its salts
  • Ammonium bromide
  • 2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol
  • Theophylline

As a businessperson, you are now obliged to align the labeling and packaging of chemicals and mixtures with the new regulations by November 23, 2023.

The seventeenth ATP (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/849) took effect on June 16, 2021 and will apply from December 17, 2022.
