REACH 2018 – The Fifth Step: Create Your Registration Dossier

The members of the SIEF should have all the information they need for the registration by now. In the next step, you create your registration dossier with the help of IUCLID. ECHA provides this software free of charge on its website.

It’s important that you, as the lead registrant, finish work on your dossier well before the submission deadline so that your co-registrants can finalize their dossiers before the registration period ends.

The dossier of the lead registrant includes the lead registrant’s information along with all the information that all the co-registrants must submit jointly. That includes the classification and labeling of the substance and, if needed, summaries of studies. As the lead registrant, you can simplify the work of co-registrants by providing drafts of the fundamental data records in IUCLID.

The IUCLID dossier of the co-registrants includes specific information on the company involved and the specific substance. That information covers the identity of the substance and production quantities. Information already submitted by the lead registrant does not need to be provided again.
