ECHA Expands REACH Candidate List to Include Nine New Substances

The ECHA has added nine more substances of very high concern (SVHCs) to the REACH Candidate List and issued a report on the change. The substances involved include printing inks and toners, plasticizers, paints, coatings and coated products, and flame retardants along with those used in the manufacture of pulp and paper products.

• If your company manufactures and/or imports these substances, you are subject to a number of obligations, include those that apply to the safety data sheet (SDS).
• As the vendor of such substances, either as a pure substance or as a component of a mixture, you must provide your customers with an SDS.

If an SDS is already present, you must update section 15 according to Artikel 31, 9, a of REACH.

The REACH Candidate List now contains 233 chemicals.
