Launch of REACH Substance Evaluations 2015

The ECHA has approved the Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP). The plans calls for evaluating a total of 135 substances between 2015–17, including 48 this year alone.
Individual EU states are responsible for evaluating the substances. In Germany, three federal authorities handle this task: The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin: BAuA), which also serves as the coordinating agency, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), and the Environmental Protection Agency (Umweltbundesamt: UBA).

Leaders of the agencies examine the registrations and substance evaluations of the companies responsible. They decide if additional examinations are necessary.
You can find the current CoRAP list here and additional useful information at this link.

At KFT, we are also involved in some evaluation processes. If a substance you have registered should appear in the CoRAP list, we are happy to offer you our expertise. Please contact Dr. Nicolas Heidrich (+49 6155 86829 18; nicolas.heidrich@kft.de).
